>>35040915This has never been true of Zelda, or Pokemon, or really any prominent series of video games.
Game series have lots of fans, all with different opinions, who like some games more than others. Different cross-sections of fanbases who dislike certain games are always very vocal about it in order to voice their displeasure. But the people who dislike one thing in a series and are vocal about it are not necessarily the same people who dislike another thing and are vocal about it. This is why comments about fanbases (for anything: games, movies, whatever) being "schizophrenic" are retarded, because it's not like it's the same people complaining about everything.
The only time you have widespread, all-around complaining is when any given series truly shits the bed to an extent where it peeves everyone. Like Mass Effect 3, or almost every Sonic video game since 2001.
