What do you think the scoop on Lugia is going to be in this month's Corocoro? I think it's going to be just a distribution of Lugia.

Yeah, probably just a distribution. Probably also a bit about its role in the story. I had though a new form was a slim possibility, but they'd market the hell out of that, and since not only the poster has normal Lugia but also the merch, it seems pretty clear there won't be a new form.

That's what they're doing though. This is hyping up something new for lugia, there's mystery movie merch aside from the obvious zeraora merch incoming, etc. New form happening

I'm betting it's NOT a new form or a distribution (Lugia's due to get distributed ANYWAY this year, with the Legendary Distribution, they won't run a second separate one so soon after that).

Hmm, interesting. Does anyone remember how they were revealed. I think I remember Hoopa Unbound being in CoroCoro, so maybe. Although I’d there is a new form, it will be for Gen 8.

Hoopa Unbound was revealed in Corocoro in April 2015, then appeared in the second trailer for the movie, which premiered on Oha Suta a few days later.

Mega Diancie was revealed alongside a bunch of other ORAS news in Corocoro in June 2016, then got some quick promotion about its movie role. It doesn't appear until the absolute ass end of the movie, so the manga adaptation of it didn't reach its scene until the July issue.

Yeah, both were shown in Corocoro, and in both cases it was previously known that they would be in the movies (the regular forms, that is)

What we do know is that the next issue of Corocoro WILL reveal what the movie preorder ticket event is going to be, since those tickets always go on sale in mid April, so the events need to be announced before that.
Chances are it's going to be Lugia, since they don't really have anything else big they can distribute.

It's unfortunately probably not going tk be a new form. Can you imagine them giving an entire new form to Lugia and nothing to Ho-oh.
