I'd rather they have temporary forms that activate under some kind of condition like 3 turns have passed or something.
Fusion was okay with Kyurem because it fit the origins. Necrozma and this is pushing it.

They really fucking blew their load with gen 4.
They established the gods of time and space, the devil, and actually literally God. Moving from that to some yin yang dragons was underwhelming.

I see it the other way around. Gen 4 was way to overwhelming woth its legendaries.
I'm glad that Gen 5 managed to make interesting legendaries without making them OP gods.
