Time for a huge fucking wall of Kalosian trivia!
- Chespin's level-up movepool contains moves from 7 types, more than any other starter Pokémon. It includes Grass moves (Vine Whip, Leech Seed, Seed Bomb, Wood Hammer), Normal (Growl, Take Down, Body Slam, Pain Split), Rock (Rollout), Dark (Bite), Bug (Pin Missile), Ground (Mud Shot) and Fighting (Bulk Up).
> Delphox learns Future Sight at both Level 1 and Level 80. Consequently, it currently learns the move later than any other Pokémon, and is also tied with 4 other Pokémon in learning the move earlier than any other Pokémon.- Thanks to Battle Bond, Greninja is the only fully-evolved starter Pokémon with more than two possible Abilities.
> Diggersby is the only Ground-type that can learn Spikes, despite the move also belonging to the Ground type. Even then, Diggersby would have started its life as a pure Normal-type.- Aside from Skarmory, the Fletchling line are the only Pokémon that can learn Steel Wing naturally; everything else needs a TM or an Egg move.
> Vivillon's Meadow pattern (the pink one with blue dots) could be considered its "default" pattern, as it is the pattern used by Viola in X and Y and the pattern that appears most often in the anime. Appropriately enough, the Meadow pattern appears in games with their location set to France.- Litleo and Pyroar are the only Pokémon with a 1:7 gender ratio, although as
>>35063557 mentioned, the current actual ratio is 1:8.
> The Flabébé line went from having two exclusive Abilities in Gen 6 to having none in Gen 7; Comfey gained Flower Veil while Oranguru received Symbiosis (although technically Symbiosis Oranguru hasn't been released yet).- Although Skiddo and Gogoat's Hidden Ability, Grass Pelt, increases their Defense stat in Grassy Terrain, they weren't able to learn Grassy Terrain themselves until USUM, and only as an Egg move.
