Every generation gets their own dog Pokemon. As much as I love dogs, they're not really my thing as it's very mundane (though I can appreciate their existence). Therefore I'd like one to go along the same route as Manectric and take a more wild inspiration, and I like the Yamabiko youkai so it all works out.
Yamabiko is a term to represent delayed echoes in mountainous areas and the Yamabiko youkai is an incarnation of such, the echo being the Yamabiko answering back.

There are some spiders that have more of a focus on weaving caught prey into tightly packed orbs of their silk, like in this video. There's even a family, Uloboridae, that don't have venom and don't really bite. I used to be so terrified of them that I couldn't function if there was one near me, and now I can at least capture them and put them outside. I started taking photos of them and that helped a lot. Anything's possible!

I'd love to see a flying snake, maybe with quetzalcoatl-themes.
