black and white is literally a different game entirely with different looking areas and you play the through the game on a mostly different path and bw2s story is even better if youve played bw

sure bw2 has the same pokemon and more than bw but besides that bw is nowhere near the level of "inferior version" that these other games are.

-DP are the only games you can capture Glameow and Stunky in Gen 4, Pearl is still the only game you can catch Glameow without RNG shit+Higher difficulty overall than Platinum.
-BW -Different story/better paced story and different pokemon.
=SM- had an in my opinion a better story and post game and some exclusive island scan pokemon

The only RS exclusive mon worth whining about not having in Emerald desu is Meditite.

Idk honestly if version exclusive mons are enough reason to play the inferior versions. Yeah Skuntank is a blast to use but not with Diamond's framerate.

Only exception is BW (which is already an exception as plot and gameplay wise it's a different game than BW2) where the limited selection adds to interesting team options

USUM takes away important boss battles. Such as the Nihilego Lusamine battle as well as the final battle with Guzma and a multiple other fights as well. This is why I'm wondering whether I should play the difficulty hacked version of USUM or SM.

This and also BW's story is a hell of a lot better.
Too bad XY had no expansion to make up for how bad their story is lmao.
Sun and Moon is less of a horrendous cash grab that Ultra is and you are not missing much by skipping Ultra unless you are into competitive because most are just waiting for the Switch game to come out anyway and Ultra did not fix a lot of the issues Sun and Moon had like totem raticate having gumshoos cry or the engine problems that really plague all 3D pokemon games.
