Psychic are skillful in mind, not in using their bodies. The skill is supposed to be the skill to use one's body as a weapon instead of using the weapons their body has. Talons are not martial arts because you wouldn't be using much skill to turn them into weapons, but fists weren't made to be thrown and yet martial artists use them as weapons.
