>>35066805I think the logic is that you're right in that Pokemon Switch would ordinarily be announced through a 'Pokemon Direct' because that seems to be the way big Pokemon reveals are done, but because a Pokken Tournament hint alone isn't enough to warrant a Pokemon Direct, it'll be done in the next best place which is the Nintendo Direct.
Not only that, coverage of Pokken has typically been in the Nintendo Directs so far. I think what this proves is that there most likely isn't a Pokemon Direct coming soon, else the news would have been bundled into that instead. Most likely the silhouette is Zeraora and will be used to pad out some of the time until the Pokemon Switch announcement.
I imagine the Pokken annoucement will also be mirrored to the Pokemon YouTube channel as soon as the Direct goes live.
