Spirit Shackle doesn't make contact, so you're only using this ability to benefit Leaf Blade and is completely useless on special sets unless you're using Grass Knot.

Stakeout would’ve been the perfect ability for Decidueye when paired with Spirit Shackle. It makes sense thematically and gives it a useful tool. Switch out and get whalloped, or stay and get stuck. That and swapping Speed with Sp.Attack would’ve made all the difference. It’s a damn shame.

"grass/ghost sweeper" isnt a thing, thats an awful stab combo and it has jack shit in terms of coverage because its grass type

It's easily one of the best starters GF has made so far (it helped me cheese the Battle Tree Singles like you wouldn't believe). The only other starters better than it are the Mega Charizards, Speed Boost (Mega) Blaziken and Protean/Ash Greninja.

It's not 'bad' so much as not going to get anything else going for it. Others might get new moves, but Primarina won't. It will never get Calm Mind or Moonlight or Arceus forbid anything to make LV useful. In other words it can only drop because it'll never get anything new.

Considering how hard Primarina and it's line is constantly shafted compared to the others, GF likely didn't plan for it to be popular. And given how hard they are trying to push Incineroar, wouldn't surprise me if they try to nerf Primarina somehow.

But chesnaught is still perfectly usable and can be pretty annoying if used right

Actually it does, because it would be able to out speed near enough most of the pokemon it's weak to. Even bisharp would have to carefull. It could try to kill with sucker punch but if Decidueye outspeeds It it could cancel it out with it's sucker punch or shadow sneak. And if not, then it can one shot bisharp with low sweep.

100 speed isn’t *bad* per say. 101 speed or 102 speed is actually pretty good. Why? Because a lot of mons have 100 speed therefore needing to compete with the mons in its speed tier. Yeah 100 speed isn’t that great now compared to gens ago but I say that the growing number of mons with 100 speed is the main factor for it being bad.

Same goes for 110 speed.
