For me personally, it's between Lucario and I Choose You. This one is definitely in my top 10 or so, just because I like the colors, the alien shit, and the action. Rayquaza is probably the best part of this movie, especially when it uses Hyper Beam at point blank at Deoxys in the beginning.

Also has one of the better "World of Pokemon" monologues in my opinion.

My personal favorite is Pokemon heroes because of the abundance of water. All my favorite games have a huge focus on water. Mario Sunshine and Wind Waker are good examples.

Watched it last night. One of my favorites too and all the third gen movies were incredible. I honestly feel that everything after the darkest film had been garbage the “I choose you” wasn’t completely bad. Story was definitely all over the place though.

The Lati@s one was the only movie I never saw as a kid. Imho it's the best, now that I've seen it.

Back then though, Temple of the Sea was my favorite. The visuals are gorgeous (excluding the pirate ship at the beginning), the soundtrack is excellent (they even reused it constantly throughout the Sinnoh series) and I was so fucking jealous of May getting to befriend Manaphy.

Giratina and the Distortion World was cool and all, but Shaymin made watching the movie like a chore. Shaymin manages to be more unlikeable than Keldeo was, not to mention Zero was kind of an underwhelming and generic villain. The use of Regigigas in that movie was also unneeded and would not changed without it.

I really liked Temple of the Sea a while back, but upon rewatching most of the films I can't decide whether I actually like any of them. Most of them have fantastic visuals in one way or another, but I can't tolerate the stories or for that matter most of the characters. I guess I have to say TotS is still my favorite, simply because of the Sea Temple and how hauntingly beautiful its theme is.

I really would've liked that movie more as a kid if not for it focusing around a little wimp and if the tourney battle wasn't a disappointment.

I still think the Unknown movie is the best because it doesn't really waste time and Ash's pokemon aren't unrealistically competent (except for Charizard, even though his scene was cool it was still silly, and more proof that Jphto was so bad that it needed to rely on Kanto favorites.)

Need to watch it again, but it has been one of my favorites for a while; the supporting characters helped, the boy's fear of Pokemon was novel if only for briefly making Ash look like a jerk for being himself, and it played to every side of Deoxys nicely. Its definitely one to look at for writing a Pokemon that's faceless and boring on the face.

The absolute best Pokémon movie is "The Power of One." The music is so mysterious and they actually make Lugia seem so legendary and ancient. The way they portray it sleeping under the water is absolutely breath taking and it will always be #1 for me.

When I was young, I asked the soundtrack for the movie to my Mother and she said no, since I already had that other CD with actually Pokémon-themed songs, I think its called "2.B.A. Master".

I'm so glad now that she didn't bought it back then. I would've been mad at time because it wasn't anywhere related to Pokémon or even to the film, besides one or other song.

I came around to Arceus a bit when I realized it was Mewtwo Strikes Back in reverse; rather than starting strong only to sputter, it has to get the janky tie-in to the previous movies and exposition out of the way all at once so you can get to the good part.

Sarah is good now. It took her some time to really come into her role, but hearing her in SM this season is honestly a delight. This is coming from someone who dropped the anime in DP because of the dub.

Entei Movie was the best movie from the gen 1-2 anime. I liked Rise of Darkrai and the Lucario movie too, but after a certain point the movies started feeling a little samey and formulaic with most of them tending to focus on on a special snowflake chibi mon (Jirachi, manaphy, shaymin, zorua, victini, keldeo, hoopa, magearnea) that can talk for some inexplicable reason. Meanwhile, interesting pokemon like the Regis or any box legend trio are relegated to being personality-less force-of-nature-esque plot devices that have little to nothing to do with their game lore.

Filthy casual here that only plays the games, the third one was cash. You got a mansion dungeon, a loli that changes reality, doggo vs lizard, and even the mom is there. The ending after the credits is shit, but it's still a solid movie.

Always found it very boring, idk maybe the setting/atmosphere just very bland. Would like Movie 2 more if it weren't for all the furry Lugia fans it spawned same for the Latias/Latios movie although both are highly enjoyable. Favorite is probably Destiny Deoxys and I quite enjoyed the Zoroark one but that's probably because it was the first time I followed through with all the events for a movie so that made it more memorable for me. Mewtwo had some fantastic dialogue in Strikes Back though and it's always nice to go back and re-watch it.
