>>35076677>Pikachu, JugglypuffThey are vets, and not going anywhere
>LucarioLucario's been in two now, and is still a lovechild with a unique gimmick in Smash.
>MewtwoAllegedly he was almost in Brawl, so it's not like Sakurai didn't just overlook him
At risk
>CharizardCharizard was always the most interesting of the Pokemon Trainer's trio, but making it its own character has problems. Charizard wasn't meant to stand alone. I forsee Charizard either receiving a Bowser-tier rework, or else getting the axe.
>I'd say at risk, but was in the previewGreninja. Greninja's old hat, and is pretty similar to Shiek, but hey, he's in.
>Most Likely NewcomerIncineroar. Starter wars aside, Sakurai has said what he most looks for are characters that bring something new to the table. We have archers, we have ninjas, an archer-ninja isn't that innovative. I don't really see what could actually be done with Primarina. One thing that Smash doesn't have though is a wrestler. Especially not a luchador or heel fighter. Incineroar has an easy to work with body, an overriding style that is unrepresented in smash, and, perhaps most importantly, a goofy face.
>I'd say good, but is a "Literally Who" pokemonPassimian. Again, it has an easy to work with body, a novel fighting style with exploitable gimmicks. But seriously, who the fuck is Passimian.
>Pokeball TierMimikyu. Sure it's popular, but how would you come up with the 25+ attacks it needs? Much more likely it's just a wandering version of Gulpin.
Primarina: It has one gimmick in its voice. Whether a localized AOE, or a Spirit Bomb, it would work fine.
Ultra Necrozma. Light that Burns the Sky, anyone?
>Stage TierUltra Beasts. Guzzlord, Celesteela, and Xurkitree just reek stage hazard.
