Incineroar on the other hand is a character archetype that Smash actually doesn't have yet. It has cartoonish proportions which makes giving it "filler" moves easy. It's got a face that already fits Smash's style, a certain style and panache that similarly fits, and plenty of room to expand on its nature as a wrestler and heel fighter.
This isn't starter wars, people who actually give a fuck are now dipping their toes into this turf. Whether you think Incineroar or Decidueye are great or shit doesn't matter any more.
Decidueye fit Pokken. Pokken is all about technical fighters, and didn't have any archetypal overlap with what Decidueye.
Smash isn't about technicality, it's about spectacle. Incineroar delivers on that while not standing in the corn flakes of anybody else, while bringing something new to the table.
