No. They were never planning to release it in my opinion.

And they obviously were planning for you to battle AZ with EF, then changed his story to only reuniting with EF after the battle you do have with him. With the jump to 3D, they HAD to insert a model, HAD to insert moves for this, then like most other GF concepts, they didn't dummy it out when they changed direction. If the 3DS hadn't been hacked to fuck, we wouldn't have known and been none the wiser. It's going on 5 years Anon, just get over it already.
