What as the chances of them bringing back squirtle and ivysaur for smash? Besides squirtle water gun being similar to Mario's Fludd he was pretty unique. Also what are the chances of use getting Incineroar and Decidueye??? And please please drop jiggly. Also obvious we'll get detective pikachu costume

Side note Ivysaur and squirtle would be a lot of fun and easy to do since they only have to replace the down B move

Realistically, the most we can expect is one addition of either a gen 7 starter, Mimikyu or a gen 8 mon, but I'd be quite happy with what you got.

I really don't know, but part of me feels like Nintendo is becoming less stupid. I thought Ivysaur and Squirtle were very fun to play with, and I think utilizing those assets would be a great move.

If it took a year to stick 15 minutes of DLC into sun and moon, it can take two to stick an hour of it into smash 4. Pretending the old game didn't happen and the port is a new game to boost sales is a simple enough trick. Face it, japs can't be trusted with shit like this. Until we have hard proof, it's best to assume anything they do is a cheap ploy.

Since Charizard is his own character, no Pokemon Trainer (and no Ivysaur and Squirtle). Incineroar and Decidueye are very unlikely considering we already have two aggressive fire monsters and three archers.

Incineroar can be like the anime and not have any actual Fire attacks but just have fire effects in his other attacks.

Plus the fact that he's a wrestler would make him unique.

Kind of really want to see Decidueye, Incineroar, Breloom or Slowbro in. Slowbro is my absolute dream character, would be neat I think. Maybe they can add one of the Gen 8 starters like they did with Greninja?

I really like playing as Jigglypuff so I hope they keep her in.

As much as i liked Pokémon Trainer, they'd have to drop Charizard as a character on its own, what i doubt would happen.
Leave Jiggs alone.
Gen7: I can see them going for Mimikyu. Incineroar is very unlikely, and the others are even more.
Gen 8: Probably only as a DLC in the future. They have never added a mon from an unreleased gen, have they?

Even as a Gen 1 fag I think we have too much as it stands. Maybe DLC down the road but in the base game I say leave em out. Maybe if we could use other costumes but you'd have to generic up some moves. Although the only other Grass starter that matches Ivysaur body type would be Grotle

I'd love for squirtle and ivysaur to return. They had such unique and fun gameplay styles. It was a blast playing as them.
Besides that, I'd love to see midnight lycanroc, decidueye or even primarina.
I do think inceneroar has the best chance if getting in, but think he would play rather boring for a pokémon option.
