>>35086327The pokemon world is great. Not because it's free of all problems, but because you have to go out of your way to find them. It's a mix between "it's a game, enjoy yourself" and a sort of feeling that in the grand scheme of things they're only a small part of life and we shouldn't worry about letting our problems slip our minds every now and then. There's so much more in life that it's silly to stress over certain things too much. I loved seeing Kiawe and Mallow struggle a bit with their futures. It showed that even in the seemingly ideal world of pokemon, people still experience hardships, but at the same time those things don't stop them from living on. That sense of concern for your struggles, yet the nonchalant vibe that everything will be okay really resonates with my optimistic beliefs. Because life is hard sometimes, and sometimes it feels as though its a fine line between working hard to the point of overexertion and forgetting about your worries so much you put off responsibility. But the pokemon world reminds us that there is a life, and that it is a balance of two. You're always going for the next badge, but you can also take a break and complete the pokedex a bit, or enter a contest, or explore the surrounding area, or just sit down on a bench and enjoy the view. And it all matters, because you're the one doing it. You're not concerned about the rest of the world, and you're not concerned about how quickly you're completing the game. You're simply living your life.
