As soon as they moved away from sprites they stopped caring, Gen 6 and Gen 7 were so fucking empty I fully expect gen 8 to be the same way because they know they can get away with it after four games in the 3DS era still sold lots of money.

Expect more forms of old pokemon and about 50 new pokemon total, hell, they told us to our faces not to get our hopes up for gen 8 being some big thing and I believe them

The explanation for the Arceus event is a good example of that, they’re too complex for today’s kids.

Oh, and if you’re going to put in Gen V Move Tutor/Item event then you forgot to add the scrapped Lock Capsule event for Gen IV and V.

You're dead wrong. Toys'R'Us gave out Mew and Shiny Mew during GRBY days. In Japan there were a few toy stores that shared interest in capsule monsters that took the GameFreak carts and passed the mythical out long before it was a thing here in the States.

Under the truck? Sure, myth. But an actual Mew events? That existed and it was very real.
