I played it with two friends. Was fun as fuck. We restricted use of the global trade system and fought each other after each gym. Winner got to shittalk the other two until the next battle. We restricted grinding to a certain amount of time because right at the start we just had 3 hour grind sessions. We also played at the same time.

Played it the exact same way with my buddies and it's by far the best Pokemon experience I've had. People tend to say a Pokemon MMO wouldn't work but it seriously makes so much sense. If you can grab your friends for a co-op nuzlocke on PokeMMO I promise you'll have tons of fun.
