No, it's because of eviolite.
Eviolite has never worked on Ledian, it suddenly working on Ledian wouldn't make sense. They'll make split evolutions again.

eviolite is not as game breaking as people think it is
when only 2 pokemon can use it well rest you might aswell you the evolution

gen 6 mega evolution were the stand in for cross gen evolution besides Sylveon

Staraptor was the only early route pokemon worth using. I wanted to use Luxray but it sucked so much dick. It only got Electric and Dark-type move, you needed to breed Ice and Fire Fang onto it, it's strongest move was fucking Spark

This is replacing one problem with another. Since it's level 1 it's a pain to get up to your level.

Not really.
Most people really like them and wish they'd happen again, but most people also don't like just how many of them were in only one gen.
They should make maybe two to four every gen at most.

Also some of their designs are questionable to say the least.
