I'm not a fan of Ash nor do I like the anime past the first season and couldn't care less about his loss.

This. I don't watch the anime and I don't like Ash, but even I can't get over the dick move that was. Especially after fans' reactions to Ash's losses in past Leagues and the whole season building up to him finally winning this one. It's just incomprehensible.
