So I know some of y'all have played Minecraft with this mod. I recently joined a rather new server and the admin and a few builders are currently working on an "adventure" map with gyms and quests and stuff. Problem is, it might not be done for a couple of months due to IRL time and lack of manpower. I've been trying to help the admin brainstorm ideas to keep people entertained during the interim (and we're wondering if he should just release the completed portion of the adventure map now while everything else is incomplete).

For you anons that have played on servers with the pokemon mod, what kept you coming back? What are some ideas you have for player retention?

We currently don't have gyms/E4, mostly due to player base size, so I know that's one thing that could be added at some point.
