Clover is basically done and Sage has everything set in stone and took development off of /vp/. Axylla and PokeAus seemed promising but those don't seem to be in progress anymore. Feels bad man

I'd be 100% in but I'm not sure if other anons would. I guess it'd give people something to do during the dry season with no leaks though.

The game would need a base concept to get people interested though. Sage and Clover are basically similar to the official games, but with fakemon. Maybe it would be better to have something more unique, like a game where the main mode of battle is double battling (like the console games), along with some other, non-drastic mechanics changes.

Just came into this thread but I'd be interested. I need something to keep me busy. An idea that I would like is something like mystery dungeon, except with a trainer exploring a number of different ruins with their Pokemon.

That gives me an idea actually. I really liked how there was an exploration guild in PMD2. Maybe we could have the same thing, but with trainers? sort of like in the anime fairy tail even though fairy til isnt that great

The guild would basically be a hub for the quests you take and the various dungeons you'd chart out, and you'd be able to do co-op missions with other npcs, like the stat trainers in DPPt. I imagine there'd be gyms and cities too, but they'd be a side optional thing to the quests and dungeons.

How does it sound?

Someone make a fangame with exploring (like the underground in DpPt but way more shit to do), variety of battle styles with npcs (not mainly just singles and doubles, do crazy stuff like battle frontier shit included), a cool battle facility or some sort of huge resort type thing that has all the minigames like contests and other stuff like mixing berries or whatever you can think of, elite 4 champs can be like how in sm, maybe an official character can cameo, gyms have cool puzzles to get through and not linear, have side shit like romancing other characters (would be cool to include a few official characters in feature), maybe have answer choices that influence the way the game goes or whatever like fallout, and have more than 1 shiny variants.

Those are all really good ideas anon. I always liked contests but the games never fleshed them out to the extent that the anime did. Romance is interesting but might alienate some people, having something similar to persona's social links may be a good middle ground though

Thanks and yes maybe more like build a social status with certain characters and whichever ones you do that with grant you something special like one can boost your stats, one can higher your shiny encounter rate, one can occassionally give you battle items or any hard to obtain items... there’s a lot that can be done with it. And contests can be more fleshed out, but i have no ideas for that.

Another pokémon fan project should be made in another engine instead of the regular rpgmaker/romhacks.
There is a massive oversaturation of those kinds of fangames.

To not only differentiate itself from the rest, but to also allow for new ideas that hasn't been worked to death to blossom.

I mean it'd take more work, which is why I'm sure it wouldn't happen, but it's really the only way I'd personally be interested in another fan project.

Yeah, maybe this can happen. I’d suggest grouping the suggestions into a collage to use as next OP, as well as keeping track of everything. If more come around, I think Google Docs lets you create word files and share with others.
