To be fair this is new toy syndrome at its finest. Incineroar's viability and ranking will drop in the upcoming months, although I do believe its overall viability will be much higher now than it was in the past. It might even be in the top 10 for all we know. I can't see something as widespread as Landorus and Tapu Koko being outranked by Incineroar for long.

Incineroar has a more offensive presence, and dying to fairies is a big deal with Tapus everywhere, not to mention Incineroar offer more utility with its large movepool.
Also the 30 points advantage in HP is nice to have even if it has lower defenses.

It is good, better than Arcanine & Scraft, but it get's killed be EQ which is ubiquitous in VGC. Arcanine & Scrafty still occasionally have teams that would prefer them, Extreme Speed Arcanine as well as being able to run it specially a little bit better than Incineroar. Scrafty doesn't have as much as a niche, mostly it just gets fighting STAB. Incineroar's usage will go down as people being to figure out counters to it, but it's definitely replace Arcanine & Scrafty in most situations.

You can save a threatened pokemon from a K.O. by simply switching in an intimidator and you also get to attack with the threatened pokemon that turn.
There are also relatively very few switches in VGC, because half of your team is already on the field so it's harder to get rid of that -1 Atk.

Just use Amoongus, who resists all the STABs of the Tapus with the exception of Tapu Lele's Psychic (which Scrafty is immune to), making Scrafty only really feel threatened by Tapu Koko's Dazzling Gleam.
Scrafty also doesn't need Tapu Bulu to tank Earthquakes and doesn't even know Rock Slide hits it, so it makes up it's lack of U-Turns with the ability to not die to a few Sliding Rocks.

Actually, he still kinda does. Back in 2016/2017 when FOGP was still legal. Decidueye was literally used in almost every single Deck. It was the TCG got at that point. But now, it's not doing bad but not as good as it use to be.

The only reason Arcanine was even used was solely because of Intimidate. It brings barely anything else to the table. Now that Lando has emerged as the superior choice, people are now free to use other fire types. Incineroar just happens to have enough utility to hang with the other big cat.

He is, but incineroar has fakeout and is newer. Plus he's not x4 ice weak, which depending on the team could make him a safer choice. I think it's pretty lame GF gave up on giving out different abilities and just give everyone a backup intimidate now though.
