I actually dislike truly open-world games since they sacrifice story. A semi-open world design would be nice though, where there are sandbox levels to explore while competing objectives (basically linear routes with greater exploration within each route. For instance, a forest would feel more forest sized rather than a little grove.
Anyway, fans don't want this shit.
