Most of those "new" Pokemon were just restatted stand-ind for mons that already existed. Some were completely pointless dex fillers like Wynaut & Azurill, or Alomomola.

We need smaller dexes with each Pokemon having enough personality and uniqueness to make up for the small size. Quality over quantity.

really liked bw for the fresh new pokemon unlike XY's horrible pokedex where just about half is new and even less are useful in battle. Even though Alola's got almost as much new pokemon, a lot of the pokemon have good roles in battling, even if the roles are niche.roles
