The Reboot Theory (Mythicals)

No.35113222 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Now listen, I'm not exactly looking for the game to be released in 2018 or 2019 I just want a nice game when the time is right. However, I have had some speculation lately regarding the supposed rumors of a "Reboot."
> The first movie "Pokémon: I Choose You" delt with a reboot of Ash's original story in Kanto. He once again meets Ho-oh and goes on his quest to become the very best. However, there is a new addition to this story, Marshadow. A generation 7 Pokémon created about 20 years after this story took place. Why is it there all the sudden?
> The new movie "Pokémon: Everyone's story" introduces Lugia once again and is supposedly a re-telling of "The Power of One." It is speculated that Zeraora another Pokémon introduced much later will make an appearance. However, instead of the spotlight being on Kanto mons it appears there are more Johto mons now.
It seems to me that they are going in sequential order and having a re-telling of each generation. But there's a main idea I'm trying to get across and that is..
> GAMEFREAK IS SCRAPPING MYTHICALS.
This theory may seem crazy at first but lets think about the last time we saw an ingame Mythical that wasn't delivered by some magical postman/woman. The last time this was I believe was Victini back in Black in White, where it was possible to battle it and even soft reset for it's shiny. After that mythicals have disappeared. Except for one instance everyone forgets. The "Delta Episode" Deoxy's can be obtained normally but can still be considered a "Mythical."
Is it possible this was a test run? Is it possible that if we did get a reboot of the franchise Mythicals would be just like legendaries just rarer and with a harder catchrate? Let me know what you think. This is late night thoughts and may just be absolute giberish but I thought it was worth sharing to spark some discussion.
