True but Smash Bros does have a habit of just copying specific moves to characters so Decidueye getting some of Pit's moves even if most of his moveset is unique isn't unlikely.

This. Decidueye wouldn't be even remotely a ranged fighter at all. Decidueye's playstyle would be about trapping his opponents in one spot so he can fuck them up and tear them limb from limb with powerful melee attacks.

You have to consider the extent to which every Smash character plays like each other; you might get some similar tilts and aerials but otherwise there's no reason for Decidueye to play exactly like Pit, stop falling for memes
