>>35119242Actually, Gen I took 6 years (they started it in 1990 as Capsule Monsters), it was just glitchy with how they were forced to implement shit into it. 2+4 were delayed, Gen VI took 3 years (Masuda tweeted a pic of his diary marking the start of production). If anything VII was the most rushed, given the majority younger staff working on it (honestly expect me to believe the senior staff worked on SM to the end, if it took until near the end of development to replace gyms with trials?) and how slightly unfinished it still feels, despite the upper version releasing (disclaimer, I really like Gen VII but I can see it's flaws also).
