I felt it had enough of a post game at least to tide us over until B2W2 came out (fuck going into that house Cynthia was in and getting btfo by her was an unexpected surprise) the plot was overall better than that of the sequel, it had great pacing and a fantastic climax. I will agree that B2W2 have more content and that the content added in those games is fantastic but there's something about BW that I just love over their sequels. Wish more people would see this too :(

I just finished my third run of US and i realised i don't really have any problem going back to USUM despite all "too much cutscenes" critisims these games get. I just set text mode to fast and match the A button for the first island.
While it's nowhere as smooth as games like FR/LF, i had an easier time going back to USUM than the first B/W.

Also platinium is a good game, but it still have massive flaws and nowhere near the best Pokemon games

Gen 7 starters are tied with Gen 4 as my favorite stater trio.

Delphox is just executed in a bland way for what it’s supposed to be, and the way its model is animated doesn’t do it any favors either. They should’ve went all the way and give it a staff, and maybe form the ears and hair into a wizard hat, but that’d probably be hard to do in a way that makes sense.

Sun and moon had a great list of new Pokémon but the starters are without a doubt the absolute worst.

Mega evolution was a great idea with god awful execution

The franchise needs the monster hunter world treatment. It doesn’t need huge changes but it needs to make all of its core gameplay better

It’s a crime we don’t have more co op shit to do. I always thought teaming up with lance in gs was a cool concept that would be awesome with a friend. Even if they were separate co op missions

PWT is the best battle agency in Pokémon, and I think it should've been brought back in SM as a celebration of the franchise's 20th anniversary.

Special's BW ending is far worse than any time Ash Ketchum loss the Pokémon League. Seriously, Black being sealed within a Pokémon for 2 years while everybody else progresses in life was the worst thing those writers could come up with, and while that part will come to a resolution soon, I can't help but feel the whole act was just a shock stunt. Only good thing that came from it (so far) was that small part with Bianca and White crying.

BW2 are some of the best games in the series but get dickridden a lot. People forget the Pokestar Studios shit early on and that the pacing isn't very good until Castelia City. None of the new opening areas are as good as Nuvema Town through to Pinwheel Forest in the originals.

BW1's only new Pokemon thing was amazing but it only works once and choosing to have larger regional dexes now makes variety better. The real issue is not focusing enough on the new mons. Alola was actually better than Kalos for this. At least Alola doesn't forcefeed you Kanto starters and that most of the early available Kanto mons are Alola forms so are semi-new, plus the new mons being a bigger proportion of the regional dex.

Why the hell did we get a wizard fox ? When i think of witches and wizard, the only animals that come in minds are cats, owls, rats, bats or toad.

If they wanted to make a magic fox why not a Kitsune ? they already went full nips shit with Greninja despite being in the Pokemon version of France.

Delphox is kind of a more humanoid ninetales, with some wizardy thrown in to distinguish the two. But the fox as a spiritual animal isn't something new.

Incineroar is going to end up the most beloved starter of Gen VII.

Once VII ends, people will drop Decidueye for being a bad battler and dull looks while the anger over Primarina looking so feminine/waifuable will eventually win out over the pokefuckers trying to defend it. Meanwhile Incineroar got to be in a movie and kickass anime episode for its animated appearances people'll refer to, it'll stay as a VGC meta-mainstay for a long while, and people will forget starter wars and people complaining of it being bipedal and just see it as a badass bro-tier mon. Those moves won't do shit for Delphox. That's another thing her fans are unable to understand. Having a wide movepool won't do anything for the ugly fox cause the coverage moves will still do a minimal percentage more to certain opposing pokémon. It was blessed with a terrible typing, stats are meh, abilities are total shit, and there's A LOT of way better options for a fire special attacker. Sorry but Delphox won't probably leave NU.

Most anons who hate Delphox are Braixenfags because it's not "muh loli magical girl' anymore, and evolved into 'old and wise gandalf the wizard,' which furries do not want to fuck.
While yes, while the 3D model could use a bit of tweaking by giving it a more dynamic pose, it's still a fine design overall.

I am, and for the most part there just described as animal with magic/mind powers like the exemples you just gave me.

But witchcraft + fox is just a really forced thematic especially when you compare it to other fire starters with more depth behind their designs.

Charizard = Fire/Flying dragon based on the salamender

Blaziken = Fire/fighting based on fighting rooster + Muay thai fighter

Infernape = Fire/Fighting monkey based one Wukong

Emboar = Fire/Fighting Pig based one Zhu Bajie and "Romance of the three Kingdom"

Incineroar = Fire/Dark tiger based on the old popular Character/Wrestler Tiger Mask.

Granted Delphox isn't just a recolored animal like Typhlosion but so far, Delphox concept is just "Take a fox and make it a wizard".

It really isn't. Foxes are depicted to be magical and cunning in a lot of different cultures, and as I've said previously before, they are always associated with the mind, which is referenced as the psychic type in pokemon (ex: abra line, another fox pokemon applied with a magician theme).
It also has traits based on the kitsune-mochi, which are witches in Japanese folklore who inherit their magical powers from foxes, which could even explain the bipedalism in the fennekin line.

This is probably due to the fact that the starter itself comes from the region of Kalos, which is based on the country France, so I'm assuming GF wanted to have a western spin for it, tying it in with the fairy tale theme.
