The last time Eevee was promoted for a new generation, it was to showcase a brand new type.

Hypothetically, if we got a brand new pokemon type, what do you think it would be and why?

I've actually planned this out with brand new evolution methods:
Ghost - Level up near haunted elementary/ haunted stone
Poison - Level up near landfill
Steel - Level up in a recycling plant
Ground - Level up near muddy swamp
Rock - Level up near ancient palace
Dragon - Level up with 2+ hearts in refresh while knowing a Dragon-type move
Bug - Level up with 2+ hearts in refresh while knowing a Bug-type move
Flying - Level up during a Wind Festival

Sidenote: If Eevee has a Bug, Dragon, and Fairy-type move, whichever one is closest to the first slot decides the Eeveelution.

It’s a bit off topic but I wish they would just retcon the eeveelutions to all be stone based.

>sun stone - espeon
>leaf stone - leafeon
>ice stone - glaceon
>shiny stone - sylveon
It would just be uniform and easier. You could use the Dawn or Dusk stones for something else too, like poison and flying.

Bug needs to be strong against Fairy, not weak to it.

That way you have early game Bug types being strong against Fairys that can beat late-game Dragons.

I would say Light, but Necrozma kind of blows that out of the water and psychic is the equivalent to light i guess. But I would make a Divine typing. The pokemon of this typing would be inspired off of mythos and other stories of god-like figures. Like Dragon typing this type is meant to symbolize power and they generally evolve late and have high BST's.

Strong against: Fairy, Dark, Dragon, Steel
Weak against: Poison, Bug
Resists: Ground, Fairy, Dragon, Water
Weak to: Dark, Poison, Bug

Arceus would change to a pure Divine type and a Plain Plate would be created to turn it into a normal type. (Not sure if Silvally would become divine type, or retain its normal typing and add a Divine Memory)

Why the fuck do people keep saying this? Eevee wasn't heavily promoted for XY.
Sylveon came out of no where to promote hype for its type. Have you forgotten that the shtick during the whole first half between announcement and release was "Oooooh, guess what sylveons type could be".
Eevee was talked about only after sylveon was already released, since everyone excpected a second eeveelution because "new eeveelutions are always released in pairs".

Space type so basically pokemon from outter space aka aliens, turn Deoxys and clefairy type into it and make space type strong against everything but also weak against everything,

then have the next pokemon game/anime story be Ash going to the Moon to challenge the Moon League. Maybe have him ride in a rocket ship and every Planet is a different gym, maybe call the games Pokemon Mars(red) and Pokemon Uranus (blue)
