Fuck gen one.
Sorry to be an asshole from the get go, but don't we get enough gen one shit forced down our throat? I'd rather have a new region with throw backs to johto than more love for gen one. They already skipped megas for that gen. Dispite HGSS being one of the best pokemon games if not the best.

all of what you said save for gyms - unless they stop being type based and more strategy themed. After all they do regular online tournaments now - might as well have the games themselves give you the finer points of strategy as opposed to looking around online.

I really want reigional variants back. It was such a neat concept that they could do way more with. It would also lighten the load for Gamefreak so they dont have to make 100% new pokemon all the time, hopefully so they can work on other parts of the game that need improving.

We don't need another new type. If anything, balance the old types a bit better.

Make them for Pokemon that actually need them, not just for shilling purposes.

These would be nice but I think US/UM should've done this for Johto mons. In the next gen it might not make sense depending on where it is.

Give more starters unique ones, yes.

YES (but make them all available from the start, B2/W2 did it stupid with needing to beat the games once)

Maybe. Trials were a funny diversion for a while but they could use more trainers.

Just a few ones and not available during the main game.

It's the best gimmick we got from the 3ds games and not getting a few new ones in usum was a waste.
