>>35126920Objectively speaking, the worst starters would be whichever ones fail to present to the player something 'special' which makes them stand out from regular Pokemon by the end of their line - as the main intent behind starters is to be that special Pokemon you bond with from the beginning. The starter must therefore give the player one of the following; a unique typing which sets it apart from the rest of the region; an inherently different playstyle created by a signature move or combination of stats and typing (hidden abilities to not come into this as a player will not legally have them throughout the journey); a design which is not trodden on in theme or execution by other Pokemon especially other starters or native Pokemon.
From this criteria, the starters that fail to achieve these results or share the least amount of qualities from it:
