Pretty much. Blastoise's stubby arms and legs, and wide torso weren't made for a Fighting game. Shit looks like a mascot costume.

Sure, you could just make Carracosta a ranged attacker too, but which one has the big obvious cannons to emphasize that trait?

Not really but none of the other dlc characters were ranged focused like Chandelure/Gardevoir so it makes sense bringing in more ranged ones
