It's fucking ridiculous how scared GF is to retcon certain evolution methods. For example, the Sun Stone should be combined with the Dawn Stone. Same with the Moon and Dusk Stones. There's no reason you can't just make that 2 stones instead of 4.
Also, every future region now needs a bunch of specific areas for certain Pokemon to evolve.
>You need a magnetic area for Probopass, Vikavolt, and Magnezone.
>You need a snowy area for Crabominable, with an Icy Rock for Glaceon (instead of just using an Ice Stone, which was introduced THIS GEN)
>You need a Mossy Rock (usually in a forest) to evolve Leafeon
So basically, every region needs a forest, a snowy place, and a magnetic cave. Doesn't this kind of take away from the identity of each region if they need to check off a list of biomes so that every Pokemon can evolve in every generation.
What's gonna happen when we want Alola forms in the new gens? Is there gonna be an obligatory "Alolan" biome for them to evolve in? Either they add even more "required areas" that need to be included in each gen, or they stop doing regional evolutions completely, which would totally suck. They've let this problem get far too out of hand, and they need to just simplify all of these evolutions before future gens become a bloated mess.
