What's Game Freak's rationale behind just abandoning/semi-abandoning features? Like, there's shit they completely get rid of, like Following Pokemon and the Battle Frontier right? No problem there from their perspective.

But then the introduce shit like Mega Evolution and seasons and Baby Pokemon and evos that require trade items and it's like, even when they get tired of this shit and drop the feature, they STILL have to implement it in the next generation, you know? Mega Evolution wasn't big at all this gen, but they still had to give us the stones just because they had already done it last gen, they can't just remove it completely. And then next gen they'll have to do it all over again even if they still don't add any new megas. Same with Alola Forms, potentially, I mean who knows, maybe they'll just get tired of it next gen and move onto something else, some new gimmick form of old mons, okay, but now they have to give us a way to get the Alola Form Pokemon along with the megas. *Again*.

And if I want a Sawsbuck that isn't Spring? Pick up BW1/BW2, get a Bank subscription ($$$), transfer. XY, ORAS, SM, USUM, four games and they still can't fix the problem, a problem that only exists because they gutted seasons. Fair enough if this sounds autistic but surely there's a solution to this level of incompetence?
