My name is William, which apparently means something along the lines of "protector". So I guess I'd be a Steel-type trainer, because Steel-types have a lot of resistances and therefore can protect themselves well.
Alternatively, I could be a Fighting-type trainer, because being honorable and protecting the weak sound like they fit the concept behind that type, as well as the concept behind my name.

My first and last names are both derived from king so I'd go with a medieval court theme and train steel types - specifically Bisharp, Escavalier, and Aegislash.

logan (meaning hollow) would use shedinja, trevenant
alan (stone, or noble, fair, handsome) pretty obvious, rock types, maybe throw in an aegislash and an arcanine
ellie (god is my candle/light) a lot of names are religious, so it's pretty hard to pick stuff for them. this one has the obvious litwick line at least? and anything else with a light theme.

it'd be cool if there were a scattering of trainers you could find in the games with names and themes like these and unique designs, and choose to take them with you as followers, make a little posse, use in double battles, get comments from them about events and stuff.
