Hopefully gen 8's tower clone has scouting of special trainers back. Hopefully it's easier to get their good teams though, getting Cynthia with her Scarf Chomp and Mega Lucario has been a pain. That and Anabel never fucking shows up, she's stupid rare for no good reason.

So, Mega Sceptile and Koko then? I haven't had a lot of practice with a Lightningrod boosting strategy and wanted to see if it can work long-term.

I'd prefer not doing a repeat of the Maison, with generic Choice Garchomp and Megakhan strats.

Originally I avoided catching Necrozma in Sun so I could build it around whatever the next game was going to do with him but then after never ever having Anabel appear despite getting all 3 stamps, I went and caught him thinking he was the trigger. She was the next special trainer I fought right after. The internet claims catching Necrozma isn't the trigger though so it's annoyed me. Anabel hasn't appeared at all in Ultra Moon for me though.

Remember crystal being solid (was a kid though) not sure I ever did it with any normal teams. Pretty sure my team was lv 100 mewtwo, ho-oh and hitmonlee ( to deal with that lv 100 blissey).

Running into Cynthia isn't an issue. Never running into her with Scarfchomp in the lead with Mega Lucario in slot 2 is the issue. I lost the one time I did run into it.
