My first instinct upon reading that was frame rate (my brother has had some issues watching me play what I do before for that reason - he gets motion sick in real life too) but then I remembered we're talking Pokémon.
Only Gen 3 and battles in Gen 5 run at 60 fps, the rest are 30fps and I can't imagine how you could possibly function in real life if 30fps gives you trouble.
