>>35147836It'd probably satisfy everyone if they went with subtle storytelling like SotC. Where you don't really get told what to do or what's going on, you just....play the game and see things unfold.
That said I want the game to feel thrilling too. Alola felt more like I was on a field trip rather than an adventure. They need to break from more conventions of the series too and just stick to the very core (adventuring, battling, catching, trading) and try being more creative with their settings, themes, and lore.
Though, it's too bad the series is in the hands of some passionless hacks that only view the games as a kid's toy they gotta pump out yearly for the sole purpose of making money. There's so much potential in the series to be great but it'll never be realized.
