It would have been if it had been in addition to the standard Ash one. They literally had a thing that was female only, the whole 'Ash has to dress as a girl to enter one for some reason' plot wrote itself and they didn't do it.

Why isn't the show about Jessie and James quitting Team Rocket, Jessie going back to nursing school, and Ash becoming James's apprentice in both pokemon battling and drag? Considering every pokemon professor, gym leader, and pokemon trainer of high status keeps going on and on about how the most important thing is the bond between trainer and pokemon wouldn't that mean that James, out of all the recurring characters, has the highest potential to be a pokemon master?
