To sum up the gameplay:
>SRPG>Warriors instead of trainers>Warriors are tied to pokemon with something they call a "link">The strength of both warrior and pokemon is represented by that link>when you enter combat each warrior you control calls their currently assigned first slot pokemon and you control their movement in a grid>every pokemon only has one attack, they can hold items>warriors tied to their pokemon each have a special skill they can use to provide a myraid of buffs such as movement buffs, attack buffs, heals, etc and they can use it once per battle>Theres tons of warriors, not just the main ones with unique portraits, they each have their own perfect link pokemon that they can achieve the highest link power with>command and conquer style gameplay when out in the overworld map that has resource management and defending the castles, when you get attacked or you attack a castle an srpg battle takes placeThe only real complaint I had from the game is that the beginning is basically a massive tutorial. You don't have access to leveling up your resources in each castle and enemy warlords will never build up their army/resources, meaning you're free to grind and stomp them all easily. Once you finish the main game it opens up the real meat of the game, a series of episodes that focuses on each warrior in the game and your objectives differ in each one (gather a certain amount of warriors or pokemon, conquer x amount of castles in a given time limit, etc)
