"Let's make a lizard Pokemon that cleverly resembles urban youth by having its frill resemble a mohawk and the shedded remains of its skin resembling a hood and baggy pants. Let's give it a face that's both thuggish and lovable and a bold color scheme that gives it a strong identity without being too gaudy. Let's give it a useful and unique type combination with great moveset coverage, and a well-rounded stat spread that allows it to both hit moderately hard and take a few hits, with excellent abilities that complement both of those aspects, allowing it to run multiple play styles. Let's also give it one of the cutest pre-evolutions in Pokemon history, and have that thing be a monster in its own right, being able to sufficiently carry its own weight well before it evolves."

I still can't believe there are people that defend this fucking atrocity. This fucking travesty. This thing's existence makes me legitimately fucking infuriated. That shit is not a fucking Pokemon and I will never accept it as such. It is the most disgusting pile of complete garbage to ever taint the franchise, which is saying something since that gen introduced a literal pile of garbage for a Pokemon. It's extremely poorly drawn, has no sense of anatomy, and the sprite is flat as hell.

Scraftyfags are the cancer killing the franchise. I sleep well at night everyday knowing they got BTFO by fairies and their bro will never be viable ever again. Enjoy NU, cucks.

There are like maybe 5 mons based on the US in gen 5, the others are Chinese, Europe, Japan, and Africa.
Gen v isn't the america region it's a mixtures of a few asian countries and the west in general.

Great concept, mediocre execution. I have the same feelings about it as Turtonator. Both have a really solid foundation (lizard delinquent with shed skinnfor a hood and baggy pants; mata mata trap turtle but a land mine for a shell)

But I really really can't get behind the execution for either of them. I wish Scrafty had more lizard-like proportions and design, because the concept is A+ tier, but the final result looks kinda dumb; even Incineroar and Buzzwole managed to pull off a lot of the cat- and bug-related stuff even though they're clearly humanoid... Scrafty looks like a fursuit (scalesuit?) of some chibi guy. I wish it integrated more of the lizard parts outside of just the shed skin.

I think it's fine the way it is. When you think of something that's fighting/dark, you would think of something that has to be strong and adept while also being cowardly and dirty, so the approach they took for it was making it scrawny looking. It doesn't have much muscle, but its signature attack is its headbutt, which has the capacity to be completely unexpected and devastating, hence why I think it's fine that it has such a "kawaii uguu"-ified big round head. It's almost like its head is a big fat wrecking ball. It's got stubby legs and bent knees and a tail that stays flat against the ground, but I think that just serves to keep it anchored in place better when it swings that top-heavy weight around. At least that's my take on the whole thing. I'm probably looking way too deeply into it, though.
