>>35170371Business evolves. DLC is quite popular (which may be good or bad - up to you) and nintendo knows how to use it. I appreciate their ideal that downloadable pokemon should be free, but third versions are outdated as fuck and the only reason they're getting away with it is because its Pokemon. Imagine a game that you buy at full price, only for it to become completely obsolete in a year unless you pay full price for the new one, and then slog through what you already played. Again.
>i-it's not that different from a season passCool. Fair point. But what stopped them from making another BW2? I'm not playing BotW over again after I buy the DLC unless I want to. The worst part is that they advertised it as "an alola you don't know", as if the entire setting and events would be transformed. But nah it's just SM + Necrozma, as the cover art indicates.
The worst part is that they seemed to have moved on when they made BW2 - a legit sequel where a "third version" usually was (and a good move), and then not having a third version at all in Gen 6. And then it regresses to this again.
And finally, their added scenario made the story incoherent.
