>>35172151>He succeed in that goal and now he is training under Lance to battle his father and stop Team Rocket. He has to train for several years to do something Red did before the end of his own part.
>Diamond and Pearl's original goal was to be a comedian duo. However they changed their goal to become Plantina's bodyguard and protect her. If being a fucking bodyguard is the sum of your ambition, you're a fucking loser
>Black collected all the badges and even won the league, something that Ash failing to do.Then it looks like I remembered incorrectly. I'll concede this one.
>Y's goal is to be a sky trainer and help X get over trauma. She only fucking became a sky trainer because her mom wanted her to do something else, and her helping X overcome his trauma was unnecessary.
>Sun only cares about moneyThe Masked Royal was holding back, and Gladion was no where near as strong as he was in the games, so you can't consider beating him an acomplishment
>Your problem is that you think all protagonist should have similar goal as Ash ketchum. However, manga does differently and not everyone has the same goal as Ash. All Pokespe protagonist has completely different goal, dream and motivation compare to each other and it might have nothing to do with building their career.
If that's what I thought I would have included Gold and Ruby on the list, as they both have differing goals from Ash. But I didn't, because even so, they actually have accomplished shit that actually matters. Gold has become an accomplished athlete, and also fought and managed to quell god. Ruby was a very accomplished coordinator. My problem is protagonists who fail to accomplish anything, or grow as people.
