Not just because them sick quads, but because mass is energy.

Based on show cannon, it doesn't just blink them to full health. Takes time. Some Pokemon die. In the game, If you can go into a pokeball like Ash did that's to Primape; then I don't see the problem

Pokecenter machines heal Pokemon using shady medicines and chemicals that have horrible side effects later in the patient's life.
It doesn't matter if it's used on a Pokemon because they're expected to die in battle rather than living all the way up to their life expectancy.

pokeballs revert pokemon into code I assume, so when they get healed in a pokecenter it refreshes their code to base state, removing any injuries. The pokerus is literally like a computer virus, which is why the pokemon centers cant heal it.
