Were there copies of HeartGold and SoulSilver that didn't come with these?

As long as it's not in full colour, it shouldn't affect the retail price of Switch DP remakes too much. Though, it'd likely mean that we'd be stuck with shades of green or grey rather than having multiple hue options like in DPPT.

It would probably be the basic Poketch colour cause the full colour is an unlock later. I would be fine with a screen like the PokeWalker.

If I'm remembering correctly, some may not have. I almost bought a copy of soul silver a few years after release and the pokewalker wasn't advertised on the box. However, it may have been in the box.

I know for a fact I bought fire red a year or two after release and it didn't have the gba wireless connector, and I remember being angry because I thought they were packaged with all the games.

I find it weird they'd produce a version without the 'walker since it was basically HGSS' gimmick

If it was from somewhere else then it's likely they just took the whole bundle apart and were just selling the game box

I was worried I didn't buy it new for a minute there. I know my copy of Pearl I got second-hand.

I found the box and it does indeed have the pokewalker. Battery is still good.

It's the excuse to overprice it.

The pokewalker on its own is generally worth $15 but was bundled with the game for free. The MSRP was $35, like other Nintendo 1st Party DS games, so scalpers have little to no reason to price it for any less than $50 at the least
