The Primals and Heatran are huge problems for me. I know for a fact that its me but I'll make a team with 6 types to cover as many weaknesses as I can, I'll battle and lose the Pokemon that was supposed to kill Goudon or Heatran, and then spend the remainder of the battle floundering as my team goes down down down. So I started breeding a lot of support Pokemon like Ninjask to use Baton Pass so I don't get outsped and murdered. But really I'm just trying to make a good cohesive team where everyone supports one another. But I just don't have enough game knowledge to do that properly. Yesterday I was battling and I was used Hydro Pump only for the other guy to switch in a Vaporeon and recover because of Water Absorb.

I think I'm going to try trapping strategies next. I've bred a Gengar and I'm going to try breeding a Dugtrio.

Both actually. I went to the Battle Tree to get more items to equip but most times I get knocked off by Battle 12. Battle 20 if I'm on a hot streak. But never further.

Yes you can but they won't have dex entries. They still get counted as registered in terms of critical catches though.

Also I don't bother with retraining unless it gets a new toy. Birth generation locks mean nothing to me since I don't play online and battle facilities don't enforce the locks.

Let me start with I'm retarded, I've read that PokeBank is now compatible with GSC. I've gotten PokeBank from the eShop but it says I have no compatible games. Google tells me something about a transporter but I have no idea what that means. I was just hoping to transfer some Pokemon from Silver to Crystal without having to use a second 3DS. Am I doing something wrong or is it safe for me to assume that it only registers GSC if I'm playing UMUS and can only transfer one way?

As far as my testing goes, Sports Ball Illumise can result in Sports Ball of either Illumise or Volbeat. Sports Ball Volbeat can be bred with Ditto for more Sports Ball bugs. However, as far as I can tell, Volbeat cannot pass balls when bred with a Volbeat, presumably because they are different species. Sports Ball is only available via gen 4, so Sports Ball Illumise cannot have HA. I guess Abilities are governed by a different mechanic, because HA Illumise can spawn HA Volbeat. So yeah, it's super fun to figure out. You can have one of each to try out for yourself; I'd appreciate any cool breedjects in return if you have any. Otherwise, don't sweat it. For the HA one, did you want a Volbeat or Illumise? Sorry for the fucking blog

Depends on your needs. Are you using hidden power? Do you minimize the attack or speed stat? What experience group is the Pokemon in (Good fucking luck grinding up a Breloom for hyper training)

Grind up Pelago if you haven't so you can automate ev training. Honestly though at this point there's not much reason to bother with the tree unless you need BP for evo items. If you have bank then plug sun into that and get the BP it drip feeds you.

I mean grinding up the tree isn't really worth it at this point since you're playing Vanilla and have no tutors. The main thing to grind vanilla Sun's tree for is for battle items and a daily bottle cap. Since the competitive scene for gen 7 on cart is winding down and you won't be able to move the items to gen 8, the tree may not be worth bothering with.

Yeah, I forgot for a second that whatever new game comes out on the switch will most likely not be compatible. still, I think I'll do it as a sort of practice to get into the competitive mindset and such so I won't be too lost when I get my hands on what comes next.

No. If you have it in your party it has a chance to spread to Pokémon next to it after each battle you participate in. It can keep spreading battle after battle as well. But if it's not in a box by midnight, It will keep the benefits but no longer be contagious.

Ah, I see. Can I keep it in the box indefinitely without it stopping being contagious? I'm done EV training a handful of mons that I wanted and am just grinding them out now, but in the future if I take it out for a new batch will it still spread as normal?
