I played the translated DQMJ3 all the way through and can confirm. (only 103 common monsters plus 306 recolors for them because the fans rushed the game. There were 118 unique monsters.)
But now i will download the Pro 3ds file to try out.

If it counts Ni No Kuni. All other monster games I don't care for any of the designs other than the joke ones but the Ni No Kuni designs I like beyond novelty reasons
