>>35208267Almost no features that make OR/AS better than Ruby and Sapphire only (not Emerald) were put in place in those games.
If you have two friends show up and attempts to give you and the other friend 20 bucks, you don't award any real value to the other friend turning it down. Was the money in essence theirs for a moment? Yes, but you credit the one who gave it to both of you in the first place, not the friend who simply turned it down meaning you got 40.
Also, handholding has been a real problem since the beginning of Gen 6 so they're talking straight up nonsense. You can't credit them for the success of things added in X/Y and not dock them for having the same issues X and Y did.
That's called being dishonest. Whether intentional or not, it's beside the point and voids the opinions expressed/
Not that they aren't invalidated to begin with because we're talking about facts.
OR/AS factually introduced nothing to the series as a whole that mattered. This is why despite having the same failings, X and Y were better. They introduced good lasting changes, including almost all of them found in OR/AS and beyond, so even though they also introduced some of the failures OR/AS and Gen 7 continued, they're able to overcome it while the rest are not.
OR/AS are factually the worst remakes and the second to worst games in the series, only beat out by the admittedly rushed S/M.
