>>35211002>>35211123To be fair, until I saw yer man up there mention giraffe, I had assumed it was some kind of ungulate. But again, that goes to show how piss-poor the execution was. Ever since Gen III, the base forms have been distinct animals, for all lines. Look at the 'mon, you'll see their inspiration quite clearly. Then you see Daisy up above and that goes out the window. It doesn't seem to fit with any (if not all) of GF's in-house rules for starter design to me, the last set of fakes with the Platypus was more akin to GF's style than these because they aren't drastically changing their artstyle for the next game out, so these set stick out like sore thumbs when compared to what's come before.
