The setup was such that you could only fight yourself in the final battle, since your teams would be split on either side of the bracket. Best 2 of 3 battles advances.
I fought myself in the final and only lost one battle. I would have won undefeated had I hit the mega button when I meant to. Still nice to win both sides.
